Event Description

Cuba was forced in the nineties to find alternatives to the Soviet model of agriculture: the results are remarkable. In this and in many other areas (energy, transport) this 'underdeveloped' island has made huge progress towards sustainable development. To celebrate this and to let more people know about the successes (and difficulties) North London Cuba Solidarity Campaign is holding a fund-raising Spring Garden Party in the lovely setting of LWT's East Reservoir site in Stamford Hill. Wendy Emmett from the Cuba Organic Support Group will be speaking and there will be food and wine and some Cuban music all for just £10/£8. Do join us to find out more.
