Sustainable Hackney AGM
Join us to complete our submission to Hackney Council on the Climate Emergency
Sustainable Hackney will follow-up our two open meetings and complete our submission on action to make the Declaration of a Climate Emergency meaningful after our AGM business.
The AGM is on Weds 02 October, 7-9pm, at the Rhodes Estate Community Centre, off Dalston Lane.'
We will spend 45 minutes on our AGM business considering our report and accounts and electing our new Steering Group and the rest of the time finalising the submission. Please come and join us.
Looking ahead, the Council is convening a Climate Emergency Citizens Assembly on Sunday 17 November.
In the first open we looked at what's in the council's Emergency Declaration?, what more must the council do? and debated Real Divestment, Airport expansion (including City Airport), school curriculum, a Just Transition to a zero carbon world, generate clean/renewable energy in the borough, energy efficient/affordable homes, clean/sustainable travel, air quality, plastics, safe streets. We worked on the draf document and our demands on 18th September and completing it at the AGM.
Please join us.
