Arboriculturalists

Hello, 

Our insurance company has asked us to get tree reports on trees near our house. We are extremely reluctant to have any trees removed, and don't want to inadvertently ask someone who is going to recommend needlessly cutting down trees. I've read a thread somewhere about this - thought it was on here, but I can't find it. Any suggestions, or where to look for independent arboculturalists, and how to assess this, gratefully received. Thanks.
