For our third Restart Party we joined the fun at Abney Park's well-attended spring fun day on April 12th. On offer was wood carving, stone carving, music, and stalls from Abney Park Trust, RSPB, Friends of the Earth and Hackney Energy as well as music and dancing. I was lucky enough to win an RSPB apron in the raffle!
Abney Park Trust kindly turned the lovely eco classroom over to us, and we enjoyed being surrounded by wildlife pictures, carved wood, and insect models as we worked. Some trickier repairs this time, including opening a tablet and a smartphone screen replacement. A digital camera was the most rewarding repair - the reaction when it was working again was fantastic!
"Let me start by saying a very BIG THANK YOU to the team. I attended the restart event at Abney Park and I am so grateful, overwhelmed and so happy that I had my digital camera fixed. You cannot imagine how happy I was when it was fixed."
20 people brought items to repair. We fixed 8 on the day and 10 needed more work, leaving only 2 items dead. Already planning the next one!

Phew, Fab! I love Restart! There's another fun day on 9 May. I'm involved with publicity but not organising, so not sure if the classroom is free. Would you be interested if it was?
