We at London Fields would like to fund a few small leaf lime trees. These have an abundance of flowers and are the favourite of bees. They are a native tree and they say they are the source of the finest honey. Read about the lime tree. http://www.rfs.org.uk/learning/Limes

The tree planting went incredibly well on the 22nd of March - with 12 people turning up to plant the wide variety of 11 fruit trees. There are the following: Apples; Queen Cox, James Grieve, Newton Wonder cooker. Nuts; Sweet Chestnut, Kent Cob Nut. Plum relatives; German Prune (Damson), Farleigh (Damson), Greengage (old gage). Cherries; Morello Cherry, May Duke Cherry, Cherokee Cherry.

This was down the tennis court end, behind the changing rooms.

The following day we had children from the local junior school, with 3 teachers supervising, plant mixed wildflower seeds along the edge of one of the fields. Opposite Fields estate.
