Young Hackney is looking for volunteers!
Young Hackney is the Council’s Early Help and Prevention Service for all young people aged 6 – 19 or up to 25 for young people with special education needs or disabilities. Young Hackney works to ensure that all young people in the borough enjoy their youth and have support in their transition to an independent and successful adulthood.
Hi
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to organise and deliver activities and groups based on practical skills. Volunteers will use their areas of competency, skills and life experiences to inspire young people and support them to develop new skills.
Gardening: e.g. weeding, mulching, edging, raking, digging over, clearing overgrown areas, planting and propagation, harvesting etc.
Arts and crafts: e.g. drawing and colouring, graphic/ creative and design, comics and posters, textiles etc.
Music production: e.g. operate sound equipment and programmes, recording, mixing editing, finishing and mastering; insight in the industry, record labels, promotion etc.
Dance e.g. contemporary, street dance, afro beat, Latin and many more
In return for your time we offer training, support and supervision, reimbursement of expenses, references.
