Join us to watch two films that expose the unsustainable practices of the fast fashion industry and the ways in which they contribute to Climate Change The fashion industry (and particularly fast fashion) contributes 8-10% of annual global CO2 emissions.
These two films highlight our society's addiction to buying cheap and disposable fashion items which contribute to pollution and climate change in both their manufacture and their disposal.
UNTOLD focuses on Shein a Chinese online fashion firm for all the family - currently alleged to be preparing to file for £50bn on the London Stock Exchange - and its unethical and environmentally damaging methods of production, while Unstitched not only reveals the practices of other such businesses but also highlights ways in which we can clothe ourselves without excessively damaging our environment and the climate.
