Transition Hackney – Building a community

We will take you on tour of amazing creative projects from around the globe, share new ways to co-design and build the communities we want, and leave you feeling like you can walk out and change the world...

This month we are joined by Laura Billings from Mobile&Mint for an evening of sharing, lively discussion and new ideas. Mobile&Mint shares new ideas from community practice around the world (collected through collaborative books Hand Made and The Community Lover's Guide to the Universe); and uses a series of tried and tested methods to encourage the co-design of new types of community projects. Community Lover's Guide to Hackney will be published online from Sunday 17 June.

If you:

• are interested in developing your own idea for a community project in Hackney;
• want to hear more about Laura's work; or
• want to join in with others eg. our home energy advice project or the Hackney street orchard idea or something new;

then please come along to find out more, be inspired and get involved.
