Learn the art of sourdough bread making with master baker and supper chef Ian Ballantyne
Sourdough bread is a joy to bake and eat. Learn the art of making it from former E5 Bakehouse baker and Candlestick Maker supper club chef Ian Ballantyne.
The day’s program will include:
-How to make and look after a starter culture
-What flours work best for what type of loaf
-Importance of proving dough
-Importance of gluten and proteins in sourdough bread making
-How to shape bread
-Take recipes of everything made in the class
-A free organic, plant based lunch of sourdough pizza and more
Fee: £60 (includes a delicious organic lunch)
