Positive Money Hackney & Positive Money Tower Hamlets are holding a joint meeting on Wednesday 13th November at 7pm.
John Campbell will be presenting a talk on Land Value Tax.
This is a practical proposal that could provide funding for housing and transport needs and many other issues that suffer from inequality. It has briefly been in UK law before as far back as 1931, so government have already seen the usefulness of having a simple system like LVT that is fair for all.
If properly implemented, this progressive tax would do away with the need to pay any other taxes.
Please come and let us know what you think of it and share the information on your networks - and invite someone new to come along who may be interested in contributing as well.
Kind Regards,
Andy Philpott, Positive Money Tower Hamlets
