Dear friends,
For our next meeting on Wednesday 8th December at 7pm we will be asking if your bank really supports local businesses and a climate-friendly economy?
We’ll explore proposals to get high street banks funding small businesses that create jobs for local people. This is a tiny fraction of what they currently do as they instead concentrate on more profitable speculation and consumption that inevitably create boom and bust cycles.
Positive Money advocates that the Bank of England should create funding for green and climate-friendly projects. We'll review these proposals and climate issues.
We look forward to you joining us at the Minerva Community Centre, 10 Minerva Street E2 9EH.
Please enter via Treadway Street, the next road along from Minerva Street, as the Minerva Street entrance is closed.
Please share the poster and details of the meeting to your networks to help support local wealth and a greener economy.
Warmly,
Andy Philpott
