Event Description

Cabinet Member, Cllr Jon Burke will join us at our third meeting to discuss development of Hackney Council's Green Infrastructure Plan.

We'll also take a look at proposals for the removal of Old Street gyratory and discuss how we can get Transport for London implementing green infrastructure policy when they carry out these works.  You'll find the results of the Old Street roundabout consultation here and more recent coverage in the Hackney Gazette here and here.

Works are also planned at Abney Park Cemetery so we may like to consider how works to the Stoke Newington High Street entrance can contribute to greening the local area.  The plans are summarised on p2 of Hackney Today 03 December 2018

Hi Meryn,

Sorry for the delay in responding. This meeting was cancelled as Jon Burke could not attend because of childcare responsibilities.  Rearrangement has been delayed because of family sickness but I have now managed to sort it for 7.30 22 July at the White Hart.  Seehttps://sustainablehackney.org.uk/events/greening-infrastructure-working-group for details. Hope you can make it. Kathryn
