02/10/14 The Planning Inspectorate upheld a Hackney Council Enforcement notice preventing the use of the upper floor of the 150-year-old Chesham Arms Pub, listed as an Asset of Community Value, as a self contained flat. But the owner can continue to use the ground floor as an office until March 2016.

12/13 The RIBA report City Health Check – How Design Can Save Lives and Money explores the role design can play in combating key public health problems. It concludes that the healthiest local authorities have almost half the housing density and a fifth more green space than the least healthy ones and that England’s obesity epidemic could be eased if better public spaces and green infrastructure were prioritised.
