This weekend was welcomed with warm mince pies, mulled wine and handy crafts galore at Hackney City Farm's annual Christmas market.

Sunday saw Do-it-yourself Christmas workshops, such as wrapping paper decoration for children and big kids. Christmas trees bustled out the shop door, as a steady flow of locals poured in to pick up their festive spirit along the way.

Stalls included, yummy home made pastries, jam's, vegan honey, cakes and nibbles. Locally grown tea brand Hackney Herbal was the star of the show, giving shoppers a taste of healthy balancing blends to fuel winter immune systems with goodness.  The group have a plot on Hackney city farm where they grow their herbs, whilst also offering vollunteer and educational workshops to the local community teaching people how to grow and use herbs using permaculture.
