Hackney Fairtrade Fortnight Celebration Events 2019
HACKNEY FAIRTRADE CHAMPION - COUNCILLOR GILBERT SMYTH WANTS HACKNEY RESIDENTS TO JOIN HIM TO MAKE THIS THE MOST AMBITIOUS FAIRTRADE FORTNIGHT EVER.
“Hackney is already a Fairtrade Borough” says Cllr Smyth “but we have been gaining support from businesses in the Narrow Way to work toward making it the first Fairtrade Shopping Way in Britain”
Hackney Fairtrade Group have planned several exciting and informative events for this year’s
Fairtrade Fortnight (25th February – 10th March).
Our launch event takes place at Hackney Council Service Centre, (behind the Town Hall, 1 Hillman Street; E8 1DY) at 11 a.m. on Wednesday 27th February.
This will be a fairtrade tasting, sampling and information/discussion session attended by Hackney’s Mayor, the Speaker and Hackney’s Fairtrade Champion. Join us to taste a range of fairtrade chocolate bars and drench fruit in sumptuous chocolate as it cascades from our fairtrade chocolate fountain.
