I checked in with Brian on Tuesday and he says that the topsoil has now gone (he took 18 tons to the dump himself, as well as what local gardeners took) and that what is left outside their house in builders' sacks is rubble.
Let me know if the clay soil is potentially useful to you. I need to get rid of that as soon as possible.
The topsoil was still there yesterday lunchtime, having been kept for longer to help the builder of a new community garden in Mildmay who could only get her man and van on Friday. I told someone making a new community garden in the Rhodes Estate about it yesterday morning but can't imagine that greening one close in that estate will have used the lot!
Brian will be aiming to get the residue collected as soon as he's next at home, if I understand his approach correctly, so ring him (number on the website at Urban Bees) and ask when that is and how long you've got!

PS If you can't get enough topsoil, I have a lot of bagged clay soil here (I live almost behind Brian & Alison, in Hertford Road) from excavating my back garden for a rainwater tank but it would need a lot of organic matter added to it to make it as usable - eg LondonWaste compost or any other of the assorted free municipal composts on offer in North-East London. Let me know if you want any of that.
