Make Kit is a non profit social enterprise that seeks to address health issues in the community caused by poor diet, such as obesity, heart disease and type 2 diabetes.  We do this by creating healthy, nutritious, delicious and affordable recipe kits for local residents of Hackney.  The kits make it simple and easy for everyone to cook real food from scratch at home, taking the hassle out of cooking and helping people eat well on a budget.
We sell our tasty affordable recipe kits to the public and proceeds go towards subsidizing kits for people on low incomes. In 2016 we successfully piloted the project and now we're re-launching as a full initiative, planning on going to scale.
You can take a closer look at what we do on our website and contact us to get involved https://makekitfood.com/pages/volunteer
