Assistant veg scheme coordinator
Hackney's award-winning social enterprise Growing Communities is looking for an organised and practical individual with excellent customer management skills. You will collaborate closely with and provide cover for the Veg Scheme Coordinator with regular crossover of essential tasks including ordering the produce and running the pack. You will manage the scheme’s Collection Points, have a key role in our customer management systems and be an essential part of the team that successfully delivers over 1300 veg bags across Hackney every week.
Growing Communities is a social enterprise based in Hackney that’s building a fairer, more sustainable food system by supporting local small-scale organic farmers.
We run a successful organic fruit and veg scheme in Hackney and the Farmers’ Market in Stoke Newington and we grow fruit and veg in Hackney and Dagenham. We support other groups to set up veg schemes and we help new entrants into farming and food production.
