Hi,

Does anybody know how can I acquire a small quantity of compost for free? I know LondonWaste delivers 15 tonnes on demand but that is a lot as my requirement is for a small community garden on an estate in Hackney. There doesn't seem to be any free giveaway days coming up from the council as well...

Hi there, you can get free compost from outside Alara on Camley St - past Camley Steet nature reserve and under the bridge. It's open every day during daylight hours. Take a spade/trowel and bags and help yourself to as much comoist as you want.
I meant compost haha!

Thanks a lot! This helps much.
