FoodCycle is a national charity that provides delicious, three-course meals to the local community, using surplus food that woThe Hackney uld otherwise go to waste.
The Hackney project runs every Thursday lunchtime at New Kingshold Community Centre on Ainsworth Road and is a great space for the community to share a hot meal and conversation.
Foodcycle projects around London are completely run by volunteers and each Project is run on the ground by a team of called Project Leaders with each leader taking on a specific role to ensure the smooth running of their FoodCycle Project. These people are passionate, committed and want to make a positive change within their community. They take ownership and make decisions about the day-to-day running of their Project.
