“Wine is light, held together by water.” - Galileo
Marko Bojcun has been making wine on a small scale for 40 years. He grows his own grapes on an allotment in London and makes about 60 bottles of wine each year.
As lead viticulturalist and wine maker of the Organiclea food growers’ co-operative, he works0 with volunteers and apprentices at the co-operative’s Hawkwood Nursery. In 2013 the co-operative also launched a community wine making scheme for small scale garden and allotment growers in London.
Marko is an experienced teacher/trainer on grape growing and wine making. He also maintains a website to support urban wine growers. http://urbanwinegrower.wordpress.com
The one day workshop will teach you everything you need to know from bud to bottle if you want to start cultivating your own vines and making your own wine.
No previous experience is needed to join in.
Following the course there will be an opportunity return to the garden for the harvest of our vines. This will be a chance to put your new skills in to action and put your name to a castle vintage for next year!
