Wild Food All-Dayer

Sat 2nd March 10am-4.30pm

Forage Walk: 10am-12noon, led by John of Forage London

Cookery Class: 1pm-4.30pm, led by medical herbalist and wild food chef Lara Bernays

Come discover the bounty of edible food on your doorstep
– and what to do with it – on the Made In Hackney wild
food workshop all dayer! The morning program consists of

an exciting foraging walk led by John of Forage London.
Following on medical herbalist and wild food enthusiast
Lara Bernays will show you how to turn wild harvests
into simple delicious meals, and share the medicinal and
nutritional benefits of eating wild foods for health and
wellbeing.

The day’s program will include:

-Tips for safe foraging in the city

-How to identify edible food in your local park

-Wild food tasting

-How to cook wild food dishes

-Preserving wild foods

-Recipe sheets for wild food dishes

Fee: £90* (Payment required in advance of course).

*This fee is used by MIH to deliver their vital program of free cookery
courses to vulnerable community groups
