As part of National Tree Planting week and Londons Mass Tree planting weekend - Plastic Free Hackney will be hosting our own tree planting event at Stonebridge Lock thanks to the Canal River Trust.
We have 300+ saplings that have been kindly donated to us from The Woodland Trust and the Mayor of London. These are a mix of native British species which will make great hedgerows for wildlife habitat, as well as grow to
Please wear appropriate clothing and bring a spade/shovel/trowel if you can. These are small saplings so no major digging involved. Most importantly please bring with you a smile and bags of enthusiasm to regenerate the land back to wild abundance.
