The AGM receives reports on the previous year's work, plans for the future, elects the Steering Group and approves the report and accounts.
Our discussion this year will be the development of a Green Infrastructure Plan for Hackney, a commitment in the Council's Manifesto. Speakers include Mireille Tchapi, Research Fellow at University of Westminster Faculty of Architecture and Built Environment who will open with an overview. We'll also hear from Marie Murray and Brian Cummings on the Eastern Curve Garden and John Little contractor Clapton Park TMO who works on the Daubeney 10x greener project. We hope to be joined by Lea Boaters Collective.
We need to make sure the Plan covers all key factors in seeking to build resilience: climate adaptation, biodiversity, and supporting human and ecological wellbeing.
We've invited Cllrs Jon Burke and Feryal Demirchi to contribute and discuss how they will take the planning forward. We're looking for a participative process.
