Event Description

December 16th is the date when the (un) representatives of the North London Waste Authority vote whether to go ahead with the planned Edmonton incinerator. It is also the day, if you can, to show your opposition to it. Despite enormous local resistance, now vindicated by the the All-Parliamentary Cttee on Air Pollution's call to stop incineration on health and environmental grounds, Hackney Council have announced they see no reason to withdraw their backing for the incinerator.

We think this decision is wrong-headed and flies in the face of overwhelming evidence.
