The next Springfield Park User Group meeting is on Sunday 22 May at 2pm in the Rowing Club bar (bottom of Spring Hill and up the stairs to the left at the front).
This meeting will be an AGM to elect officers and a committee, followed by an overview of the conservation management plan by Jon Sheaff and Louise Goodison.
Jon is a chartered landscape architect and Louise a RIBA conservation architect, from the team that have been researching the park and local area. This includes the history of the immediate area, landscape and the buildings in the park, archaeology, ecology, bio-diverstiy and geo-diversity. The plan helps identifies what's important and consult users to inform the next detailed stage of planning.
Come along and find out the detail of what's been discovered, ask questions of the experts and have your say about what you think is important.
It should be a fascinating meeting as so much has come to light - an abundance of riches!
