This will be an interactive session with presentations of programmes bringing environmental and social change using case studies from Cameroon, Kenya and Jamaica. Together, we will examine what it really takes to embed lasting benefits into a community to develop local resilience, adaptability and autonomy in the context of the Global South.
Our facilitator, Kevin Mascarenhas of Natural Flow will be drawing on his recent teaching tour in Cameroon to look for the insights and lessons learned.
Our keynotes speaker Odiri Ighamre founder of Kori community charity, will present her experiences from Kenya and Faheemah Luqman of Blue Paradise Farms will share her vision for her permaculture project in Jamaica.
Doors open at 6:45. Delicious home-made food is available to buy at the bar and a small donation is asked for at the door.
