Event Description

Plastic-Free Periods

All you need to know!

Thursday 10 February 7pm: Online

Pads, pants, cups! Ask anything and everything at our free online workshop: all there is to know about plastic-free periods.

In a friendly event full of humour and myth-busting we will explore all the different plastic-free options for our periods and why what we use really matters. We will also teach you how to make your own re-usable washable pad, free materials included!

  • Did you know that reusables could end up saving you £2,000!
  • Or that period products are the 5th most common type of plastic waste on Europe’s beaches?
  • Or even that every packet of menstrual pads contains 5 plastic bags worth of plastic?

We promise you’ll leave feeling empowered and with a whole new affection for periods!

Following our last workshop, 9 in 10 participants said they were now confident to try reusable’s at home. They really are game changers!

Tickets for this online class are free. However as spaces are limited booking is essential. We have 20 free sets to Make Your Own Period Pad, eligible to the first Hackney residents to book tickets (before 8.02.22). Priority will be given to Hackney Homes residents.

A £3 refundable deposit is required and will be paid back to you on attendance.

“[The workshop] couldn't be improved. Info was spot on!”
