Bushcraft allows us to live comfortably in natural settings, using natural resources in a responsible and sustainable manner. All sessions are FREE and families are very welcome!
Enjoy some outdoor cooking. You will first learn the principles of fire lighting and then have lots of hands on experience practising the techniques. The group will then work together to light a fire to cook our food on. You will be shown how to make bread to be cooked over the fire and nettle soup. There will be pre-made foraged jams and pestos supplied to have with the bread.
While we are enjoying our food we will have a discussion about how various cultures around the world live and discuss climate change and sustainability.
Skills learnt:
- Forage for food and cook with them
- Learn how to light a fire without a match
- Learn how to build a fire
