Event Description

Sourdough bread is a joy to bake and eat. Learn the art of making it from former E5 Bakehouse baker and Candlestick Maker supper club chef Ian Ballantyne.

The day’s program will include:

  • How to make and look after a starter culture
  • What flours work best for what type of loaf
  • Importance of proving dough
  • Importance of gluten and proteins in sourdough bread making
  • How to shape bread
  • Take home recipes of everything made in the class
  • A free organic, plant based lunch of sourdough pizza and more
