Event Description

Made In Hackney preserving teacher and local food grower Mike Logan will lead you through the A-Z of all things preservation based! All ingredients used on the day will be locally sourced, seasonal and organic.

The day’s program will include:

  • Tips & tricks of successful jam, jelly and chutney making
  • How to make sugar-free versions of jam, jelly and chutney
  • Italian preserving e.g. veg in oil and pesto
  • Homemade ketchup
  • Safe sterilization
  • The science e.g. set points, crinkle tests
  • Take home recipe sheets

Fee: *£65 (includes a delicious organic lunch)

*This fee is used to fund our program of free cookery courses to vulnerable and low-income community groups
