Making Better Decisions Together
An Introduction to Participatory Decision-Making
Join us at this friendly workshop to:
Les Moore chaired Hackney’s Community Empowerment Network for over five years and says “..this is the best decision-making system I’ve found. It encourages participants to empower themselves, to increase participation and to create shared ownership of decisions. The techniques are used by businesses, communities and voluntary groups around the world”.
By the end of the workshop you will know the basic steps, rules, and roles of the process, have a chance to practice using the method, and have some discussion of real-life examples. Questions about your own organisation are welcome.
To cover costs, donations are invited on a sliding scale between £10 from unfunded community groups to £25 for fully funded organisations. Public bodies will be charged £50.
Supported by Les Moore, the workshops is taught by Nathaniel White who trained with and is currently mentored by internationally-known Sociocratic Consultant John Buck.
When: Thursday April 18th 2013 10.00 – 12.00
