Planting for Plenty, smart thinking strategies - build your own self-watering balcony box & learn about permaculture
Looking for a better life? One that's better for you *and* the planet? Come on Planting for Plenty with Joe and Claire. We'll teach you about a whole new way of looking at life, called 'permaculture', and we'll help you build a balcony planter using scrap materials.
WHO IS IT FOR? Perfect if you have a balcony and are interested in growing your own food to be healthy for yourself and the planet. You will get a lot out of this course without any prior knowledge or experience.
WHEN IS IT HAPPENING? It is a 3 day course but the third day is optional. Tuesday 22nd, Wednesday 23rd & Friday 24th July, 10-3 each day. The training is being offered as part of a lottery-funded project called Manor House PACT. For that reason, people living the PACT project area will take priority in the bookings until two weeks before the course runs. (check the map http://www.transitionfinsburypark.org.uk/PACTmap) COST £50 (£20 concessions) or you can pay by volunteering at Edible Landscapes London for three days (at least one week in advance of the course). Our volunteer days are Mondays and Fridays, 10-4. You could also pay with 18 Time Credits if you are part of a Time Bank.
