The weekend offers a chance to experience innovative urban design such as community re-use, collaborative buying, community currency trading and consent-based decision making.

The course covers the fundamentals of permaculture, including:

Of special interest is the course looking at the permaculture design evident in new and innovative systems of community currency, fresh produce distribution, waste management (re-use and recycling), and dynamic governance (consent based decision making). VENUE: Hive Dalston is a new type of arts, culture and environmental centre showcasing creative uses of space. Situated at 260-264 Kingsland Road, London E8 4DG, Hive Dalston is 2 minutes from Haggerston Overground Station with many buses stopping outside.

Les holds a Diploma in Applied Permaculture Design and specialises in urban broadscale design. He applies permaculture design to his work to maximise impact whilst ensuring least (environmental) cost. He recently completed a Permaculture Educator’s Course in Friland, Denmark.
