With Claire White and James Taylor. Looking for ways to live more sustainably but are unsure of how to take action? Permaculture offers positive practical solutions. Permaculture is a regenerative, ethical design methodology that copies natural systems, to tread lightly on the Earth. Whether designing a community garden, your window ledge or even how you make a cup of tea(!) the principles of permaculture can guide you towards a much more sustainable and enjoyable life. Inspiring, informative and interactive, this two-day course will equip you with an understanding of the fundamentals of permaculture, including:

* Ethics and principles
* Design methods
* Observation skills
* Practical activities
* An overview of the permaculture network and local contacts

WHO IS IT FOR? This course is suitable for anyone with an interest in sustainable living, permaculture, or who is just curious and wanting to develop their understanding. You will gain knowledge and an understanding of the basics of permaculture and leave with ideas of what you can do next and how to apply what you have learnt. You will get a lot out of this course without any prior knowledge or experience.
The training is being offered as part of a lottery-funded project running in the Manor House area called Manor House PACT. COST £50 (£20 concessions) or you can pay by volunteering at Edible Landscapes London for two days. Our volunteer days are Mondays and Fridays, 10-3. You could also pay with 12 Time Credits if you are part of a Time Bank.
