Froglife are running an event to celebrate two of their projects. The afternoon will be hosted by author Hugh Warwick and feature a special screening of our 'My Wild Life' film and information about their new 'Dragon Finder' project.
Through My Wild Life, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, Froglife has been bringing generations together to record childhood memories of collecting frogspawn, catching newts and climbing trees. My Wild Life comes to an end in February 2013 and the film will share some of these stories, highlighting the value of encounters with nature in childhood.
Dragon Finder, also funded by the HLF, is Froglife’s exciting new reptile and amphibian conservation project working with communities across London, mapping where these animals are found, collecting more wildlife memories and creating habitats. A wide programme of educational events will raise awareness and understanding of the city’s 'Dragons' and to enable everyone to get involved in their conservation.
This event will be a great opportunity to find out more about both projects and to get involved in Dragon Finder as it takes off. If you require any further information, please contact Jodie Coomber (jodie.commber@froglife.org. If you would like to attend the event please RSVP Jodie by the 12th December.
