Event Description

Come and relax with a free Tai Chi class in London Fields, every Saturday at 2pm. We meet under the tree close to London Fields Lido.

Tai Chi is the fastest way to improve your health including muscle strength, flexibility, balance, circulation and concentration. It is also a powerful and effective form of self defence.

At present classes are free of charge. Everyone is welcome regardless of age, experience or physical fitness. No special clothing or equipment is necessary.

Things you will learn include: chi kung deep breathing, the Yang style Tai Chi long form, self defence techniques, pushing hands exercises - and a healthy dose of Chinese philosophy!

We start promptly - don't be late! We meet every week - in the event of rain we will practice under the railway bridge on Reading Lane (3 min from London Fields lido).

Classes are led by Master Simon Wong (Sifu). As well as teaching martial arts for over 30 years, he is a master of Tantric Buddhism. Have a chat with him and you can be enlightened too!

Sifu is a master of the Small and Large Circle of Yang style Tai Chi, the UK representative of Omei Mountain 100 Day chi kung, founder of Yellow Dragon Fist kung fu, the 7th generation master of Bamboo Forest Temple Mantis kung fu, and holds a 9th degree black sash with the AMA.

As a martial artist Sifu has been featured in many magazines over the years - http://www.yellowdragon-kung-fu.co.uk/articles.html
