Did you know there are over 25,000 species of minibeasts in Britain? Search under rocks and mulch all around the local area and you’ll find a whole host of insects going about their daily business keeping our local ecosystem healthy. So while minibeasts might be small, they’re mightily important. So if you want to see minibeasts with a 100 legs, or to marvel at the slow moving slugs with and without shells then come and join us for an enjoyable walk in the fresh air and learn more about the secret life of bugs and insects. A knowledgeable guide will tell you all you need to know about these creepy-crawlies.
Everyone is welcome; so bring the family, your neighbours and friends. The walk should last about an hour and it is free
Meet outside the Castle Climbing Centre, Green Lanes, N4 2HA, near the front doors, before the walk begins and heads along the New River Walk.
Note: Were sorry that the path is not accessible to wheelchairs and we advise that you wear suitable footwear in case of mud but hopefully the sun will shine!
