This year's Fairtrade Fortnight concentrates on the catastrophic effects that Climate Change is having on growers and workers in the Global South and how we can support them by choosing Fair Trade when we shop.
After an enforced absence during lockdowns, Hackney Fairtrade Group make a welcome comeback with the following events during the fortnight:-
27th Feb – 12th March Fairtrade Display in Central Library.
2nd March - 10.30 - 3pm Stall in Council’s Service Centre, 1 Hillman Street, E8 1DY
8th March - 10.30 a.m onwards Fairtrade Coffee Morning and outside stall (weather dependent) at Victoria Park Community Centre, 5 Gore Road, E9 7HR
10th March - 6.30pm onwards - Stall at Sustainable Hackney Film Showing (The Oil Machine), St Paul’s West Hackney. N16 7UY (see event above).
