If you want to better our city and fight climate breakdown but have never been sure
On Saturday 28 April, hear from some of the most exciting social and environmental justice campaigns in London. Meet others who care, learn campaigning skills, and get involved!
What are you angry about? Is it that half of Bangladesh went underwater in August? Or that thousands of people were displaced by one of the worst storm
Maybe it’s because you know London has a lot to answer for.
While frontline communities are rising up, London is continuing to provide social and political cover for the most toxic industry on the planet. We need to change that.
Fortunately, there are good people doing some great things. And they need you.
Whether it’s calling for a clean, publicly-owned energy company for London, or fighting the injustice of cold homes and rip-off energy prices, pushing for divestment from fossil fuels, or building the homegrown, community-based energy solutions of the future - people all over London are getting it done. It’s time to join them.
Whether you’re totally new to campaigning, or you’ve already been challenging the corporate might of the fossil fuel industry - this is for everyone.
Get psyched for workshops like:
We’ll be hearing from existing campaigns (Divest Parliament, Borough divestment campaigns, Fuel Poverty Action, War on Want, Switched on London, Art not Oil) about what they’re up to. Find out how to get involved and get skilled up on campaign tactics.
Come along and find out how you can get involved - no contribution is too small.
