Are you buying a child a bike this Christmas? If so, you may be buying it online and boxed rather than ready-built. We see a lot of safety issues around bikes that have been home-assembled so this year, Hackney Council are stepping in to offer free bike building at our Santa's Bike Grotto event on 22 December. Fully qualified mechanics will be on hand from 10am to 3pm to build bikes so they are ready to use as soon as they're unwrapped on Christmas day. We'll also be available to carry out safety checks on any second hand bikes. A bike build takes on average half an hour so come along, drop off your bike and we'll have it ready for your return.
