In support of The Climate Coalition's Show The Love campaign

we’ll be running tours and a fruit tree pruning workshop in the garden, starting at 1.30 pm. Our garden is one of the ways that we try to reduce our impact through growing food by organic methods, composting, and more. (Tours/workshops are free, sign-up in the garden on the day).

Look out for more ways that you can Show The Love... around the centre and in the garden throughout the day!

Wassailing the fruit trees is a tradition originating in apple growing regions of England, which involved making noise to wake up the trees, playing music and singing to invite a good harvest for the coming year.

Families can come along at 3pm to make Wassailing musical instruments and night lights. The Wassail will take place around 4.30pm. The Castle Choir will be performing.

If you'd like to, bring an instrument, or share a Wassail song, stories or poems, whilst we keep warm around the bonfire, with hot cordial and mulled cider to toast the trees!
