In collaboration with Abney Park Trust and Stokey Local., Abney Park User Group is running an afternoon event at Abney Park Nature Reserve on Saturday 6th September 2-5pm.
We'll have guided walks kicking off at 2pm and 4pm near the main entrance gates on Stoke Newington High Street showing some of the treasures and some of the threats to them.
Between 3-4pm we'll have music and entertainment on a stage near the entrance.
Throughout the afternoon there will be other family-friendly activities including: art workshops, craft demonstrations, a forest school and theatre. Fancy dress is most welcome, so if you fancy something different for the afternoon, be our guest! There may even be a prize...
It should be a fun and informative afternoon for everyone and we would love to see you and your friends and neighbours here to support the efforts still being made in the courts (the Judicial Review will happen mid-October) to challenge the awful Wilmer Place development which will do so much damage to Abney Park and to the locality in general.
