Event Description

A new governor in Andrew Bailey has just been announced for the bank.

This is a timely look at what the BoE can do to become more democratic by making three simple choices.

Choices to help reduce inequality, tackle the housing crisis and shift to a green economy to safeguard our economy and planet. Not to bail out the banks yet again!

  1. More joined up coordination with a policy unit from across government and the BoE.

  1. For this group to clearly collaborate and communicate with the treasury.

  1. A Citizen’s Panel that is both sufficiently resourced so as to be well informed and informs the meetings          between politicians and the BoE too.
