Hackney Community Tree Nursery & Edible Forest Garden

- We grow trees from seed and cuttings, primarily for local groups to plant in Hackney's parks and open spaces.
- The Forest Garden provides a model for growing food using nature as its template, i.e mimicking the woodland structure.
We are all volunteers and anyone can get involved at our volunteer sessions:

Food In Hackney (pdf) Published in December 2007, the leaflet covers briefly the history of food-growing in Hackney and goes on to detail the food-growing sites in the Borough – including, of course, the Tree Nursery and Edible Forest Garden. The leaflet is available in some public libraries and from the Tree Nursery. It is designed to be printed at A3 size, folded in half, and then in thirds; the title panel appears upside down for this reason.
