<li>34% of Hackney voters voted for the Green mayoral candidate Jenny Jones; 9% as the first preference and a staggering 25% as the second preference. Why don't more people vote heart <span style="text-decoration: underline;">then</span> head?</li>
<li>Hackney voters were the greenest in London with 16.3% voting green for the GLA London-wide list and 18.3% for the Constituency member.</li>

<p>Hard to say whether it constitutes a trend from only one year's data... Though I'd like to think yes! I think that Jenny Jones' success in the mayoral election had at least something to do with the unpopularity of the Lib Dems, but I think she made a really good showing and hopefully her success and her visibility over the next four years will support a trend towards seeing greens as a credible option, not a limited, nice-to-have…</p>
