The Big Dig - A Celebration of Soil!

In the Castle Garden the day will be a celebration of soil!

11am - 4pm - in the garden
There'll be garden tasks to help out with, led by Rosie, one of our garden team - she'll be on hand to give information about growing and anything you'd like to know about the garden.
Activities for children, led by Lauren. Include seed planting, food growing games, meet the worms, nature games and crafts.
11am - 3pm - in the garden
Tour of the garden and compost systems - if you are interested in finding out how we process all the food waste that comes from a busy cafe and climbing centre, or have questions about your composting set up at home, Sean will tell you all you need to know.
Plus he'll be discussing organic fertilizers and making compost tea.

3pm - 4pm - in Training Room 3
Sean will be doing a fascinating talk about soil microbes in TR3...soil as a living ecosystem - find out about the hidden world beneath our feet!
