TMs have planted over 150 new trees on Hackney Downs in the last 12 years and we have almost completed re-stocking. We will be planting: 3 cherries, 3 walnuts, 1 apricot, 1 rowan, 1 crab apple, 1 yellow buckeye and a cedar. We grow all our own trees at the Hackney Community Tree Nursery (thereby reducing carbon cost in transport and reducing biosecurity risks of spreading pests & diseases).
Meet 10am at the old bowling green in the centre of the park or find us on the Downs.
Planting will continue on Sun 29th Nov if we do not finnish on Sat.
