Sustainable Hackney AGM

We'll be having the usual AGM business: our Annual Report and Accounts and election of Officers and our Steering Group.  We're also having a session on social justice.  Our aim is to clarify SH’s position on a range of social justice issues and develop links so that we can support organisations working on social justice and identify gaps with a view to developing a section of our Greenprint covering priorities and some work within our capacity.  Here is a link to the Greenprint so you can see the format http://sustainablehackney.org.uk/greenprint  and the pdf is at http://storage.ning.com/topology/rest/1.0/file/get/122617713?profile=original

The issues will include poverty, London living wage, policing and access to justice, refugees and migrants, housing/homelessness and other public services, hate crime, etc.  A draft of the social justice section of the greenprint will be available on in mid September.

Doors will open at 6.30 pm for registration, networking and there'll be an opportunity to read and comment on social justice issues in preparation for the discussion.  We look forward to seeing you there.

The AGM will be followed by a social at the Curve Garden.
