Made In Hackney - The Do

Made In Hackney & The Black Cat Café host an evening of fine food, music and photography

The Food

You’ll feast on a sumptuous three-course meal of local, organic, plant based ingredients. Due to seasonal availability the menu will be finalised days before the event but will include delights such as Essex grown quinoa cakes, hemp seed and thyme encrusted Brick Lane tofu and almond and oat tart topped with coconut maple cream and wild berry syrup.

Accompanying your meal will be a uniquely blended MIH mocktail and locally grown herb infused water. Additional drinks can be purchased on the night.

The Tunes

Post dinner you’ll be treated to a set from renowned Cameroonian singer and multi-instrumentalist Muntu Valdo and his unique Sawa Blues sound. He normally graces the stages of the likes of The Barbican and The Royal Festival Hall – but tonight he’ll be doing an intimate supper time set.

The Photos

The event marks the opening of our debut photographic exhibition, ‘Sir, when are we cooking chicken?’ A celebration of Made In Hackney’s work since October 2012, the photos provide a glimpse into the fun, laughter and unique magic of a MIH class that bring food that’s good for people and planet into the wider community.

Tickets: £55
All proceeds go towards funding our work with local groups such as young carers, low-income families and people with long-term health problems.
